How to Add a Social Sharing Image to a Website Page

A social sharing image—also called an Open Graph image—is the image associated with an individual website page when that page is shared on social platforms such as Facebook or LinkedIn.

You can choose a social sharing image for an individual page on your Site Before Night website, which gives you more control over how that page is represented when someone shares it. You can also use different images for different pages.

Open Manage Pages

From your website editor, open Pages and select Manage Pages. This is where you can choose the individual page whose social sharing image you want to change.

Choose the Page You Want to Update

In Manage Pages, find the page that needs the social sharing image. Select the pencil icon beside that page to open its settings.

Remember: this setting applies to the individual page you select. That means your homepage, service pages, special-offer pages, or other pages can each use a different sharing image when appropriate.

Choose an Image That Represents the Page

Your social sharing image should make sense for the page someone is sharing. A service page might use a strong service photo, while an About page might use a team, owner, or business image.

Keep It Clear

Choose an image with a recognizable subject that still makes sense when displayed as a social-media preview.

Match the Page

Use an image that reflects the actual subject of the page rather than automatically using the same image everywhere.

Avoid Tiny Details

Do not depend on very small text or details that may be difficult to recognize when the image appears in a compact preview.
