How to Add or Change Section Dividers

Section dividers create a more distinctive transition between areas of your website. Instead of one section ending with a straight edge, you can use shapes such as waves, curves, or angled designs to give the page more visual movement.

Before you begin: Parallax Scrolling must be turned off on the section before you can use a Section Divider. If parallax is currently enabled, you can disable it from the section's Style settings before choosing a divider.

Open the section you want to change

In your website editor, hover over the section where you want the divider to appear. When the section controls become visible, select Edit.

Open the Style settings

The section editor opens with controls for that specific section. Select the Style tab near the top of the editing panel. This is where you can adjust the section's visual appearance and find the divider controls.

Step 3

Find the Section Divider setting

Scroll through the Style options until you reach Section Divider. The control lets you choose the shape used along the bottom edge of the section.

Choose a divider and preview the result

Open the Section Divider dropdown and select the design you want to try. As you change the option, the editor shows the divider on the section so you can judge how it looks with the section directly below it.

Design tip: Use section dividers intentionally. A divider can help emphasize a major transition on the page, but using a dramatic shape between every section can make the design feel unnecessarily busy.

Step 5

Save your section divider

Once you are happy with the divider shown in the preview, select Save to apply the change. You can return to the section's Style settings later if you want to try another divider or switch the divider back to no divider.

Why can't I use a divider with Parallax Scrolling?

The editor requires Parallax Scrolling to be disabled before a Section Divider can be used on that section.

Can I preview different divider styles?

Yes. Selecting a divider option displays the effect in the editor so you can see how it works with the surrounding sections before saving.

Can I change the divider later?

Yes. Return to the section's Style settings and select a different Section Divider option, then save the section again.

Should every section have a divider?

Usually not. Dividers are most effective when they help mark an important visual transition rather than appearing between every piece of content.
