Website Tips & Advice
How to Choose Great Website Photos
Great website photos do more than make a page look attractive. They help people understand what you do, see the people behind the business, and feel more confident about contacting you.
You do not necessarily need an expensive professional photo shoot. A clear, well-lit photo taken with a modern phone can be much more useful than a polished stock image that has little to do with your actual business. The goal is to choose images that feel relevant, believable, and easy to understand.
Make It Relevant
Choose photos that support the message on the page. A service page should show the service, the result, the people doing the work, or something directly connected to the customer's need.
Make It Real
Whenever possible, use your own team, location, products, equipment, projects, or customers with permission. Real photos make your website feel like your business instead of anyone's business.
Make It Usable
The best photo is not just attractive. It also has enough light, sharpness, space, and flexibility to work well when it is cropped for a website section, card, banner, or mobile screen.
