How to Duplicate a Website Page

Duplicating a page gives you a copy of an existing page and its elements so you can reuse the same starting structure instead of rebuilding it from scratch. It can also be useful when you want to create another version of a page using the same basic content.

Reuse an existing layout

Start with a page that already has the sections and elements you want, then personalize the copy for its new purpose.

Try another version

Make a separate version of a page when you want to work from the same content and structure.

How to duplicate the page

Open the page you want to copy

In your website editor, navigate to the exact page you would like to duplicate.

Choose Duplicate Page

While you are on that page, open Pages and select Duplicate Page.

Important: Make sure you are viewing the page you actually want to copy before selecting Duplicate Page.

Make the duplicated page your own

A duplicated page is most useful as a starting point. Once you have your copy, update it for the new page's purpose rather than leaving two pages with the same information.

Review the copied content

  • Update the page headings and written content.
  • Replace images when the new page needs different visuals.
  • Review buttons and links so they lead to the right destination.
  • Confirm that contact information, hours, services, offers, or other business details are appropriate for the new page.

Duplicating a page can save time whenever an existing page already gives you a useful structure to build from. You can keep the familiar layout while changing the content to fit the new page.
