How to Edit Your Website Footer

Your website footer is the section at the very bottom of your site. It is a useful place for important business information such as your address, phone number, email address, business hours, social media links, and a short description of your company.

Because the footer is normally shown throughout your website, one update can keep this important information consistent across multiple pages.

1. Open the Footer editor

2. Edit your footer title and description

The Footer Section panel opens with the main content settings. Use the Title field for the heading you want displayed in the footer, then update the Description with a short summary of your business.

Keep this section useful and concise. Visitors who reach the bottom of a page should be able to quickly understand who you are and find the information they need.

3. Update your business location and contact information

In the Locations area, select the business location you want to edit. This is where you can maintain important contact information displayed in the footer, including:

• Street address
• Phone number
• Email address
• Hours of operation

Review every field for accuracy, especially after a move, phone-number change, or change in operating hours.

4. Add or update your social media links

Use the Social Links area of the footer settings to manage links to the social profiles you want visitors to find.

When adding or editing a social link, use the URL for your actual business profile rather than the social network's general homepage.

5. Adjust the footer style and save your changes

Select the Style tab when you want to change the appearance of the footer. Available footer styling options include:

• Footer layout
• Background and text colors
• Navigation colors
• Social media icon colors

Choose colors that keep the footer easy to read and consistent with the rest of your website.

Review your footer before you're done

After saving, look over the footer on your website and make sure visitors can quickly find the information they need.

• Confirm your address, phone number, email, and hours are correct.
• Test any social media links you changed.
• Make sure the text remains easy to read against the footer background.
• Check that the footer looks good on both desktop and mobile views.
