Tips for Writing Your Website Homepage
Your homepage should quickly help a visitor understand what your business does, whether you can help them, and what they should do next.
You do not need clever advertising language or long paragraphs to write an effective homepage. For most small businesses, clear and specific wording works better. Write for the person who has just found your business and may know very little about you.
What Do You Do?
State your main service, product, or type of business in plain English. Do not make visitors decode a slogan before they understand what you actually offer.
Who Do You Help?
Give people enough context to recognize that they are in the right place. This may include the customers you serve, the problem you solve, or the area you serve.
What Comes Next?
Make the next action obvious. Depending on your business, that could be requesting a quote, calling, booking an appointment, viewing services, or contacting your team.
